Volvo XC90 Powertrain Options
Under the hood, the 2025 Volvo XC90 offers two engine options:
- A 2.0-liter turbo petrol engine with 48V mild-hybrid tech (247 hp, 360 Nm)
- A 2.0-liter turbo petrol plug-in hybrid (450 hp, 709 Nm)
Both variants are paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission.
The mild-hybrid unit puts out 247 hp of power and 360 Nm of torque and works with an 8-speed automatic transmission. Meanwhile, the plug-in hybrid unit puts out 450 hp of power and 709 Nm torque.
