Gautam Adani, Chairman of the Adani Group, recently attended the ongoing Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, with his wife Priti Adani and son Karan Adani. The trio participated in the world’s largest religious gathering, which attracts millions of devotees every year.
During his visit, Mr. Adani offered prayers at the Triveni Sangam, the sacred confluence where the Ganga, Yamuna, and the mythical Saraswati rivers meet. This spot is of immense spiritual significance for Hindus, especially during the Kumbh Mela.

In addition to praying at the Sangam, Mr.Gautam Adani visited the ISKCON temple camp at the Mela, where he took part in the preparation of Mahaprasad (sacred food) for devotees. The Adani Group has collaborated with ISKCON to distribute these meals to the attendees during the entire festival period, which runs until February 26.
Mr Adani expressed his appreciation for the Uttar Pradesh administration and the numerous workers who have made the Mela a successful and smooth event. He also commended the efforts of sanitation workers and police personnel who ensure the safety and cleanliness of the gathering, which is expected to draw nearly 400 million people.
“The management of the Maha Kumbh is exemplary,” said Mr. Adani, adding that it could serve as a model for business management studies. “Nothing compares to the blessings of Maa Ganga,” he shared with reporters.
The Adani Group has also joined hands with Gita Press to distribute one crore copies of the “Aarti Sangraha” for free among Kumbh devotees. This initiative is part of Mr. Adani’s effort to support religious and cultural practices. He described the Kumbh as a “great yagya” of Indian culture and religious faith, and expressed immense pride in contributing to this spiritual event.
In a tweet shared earlier this month, Mr. Adani highlighted the collaboration with Gita Press, an esteemed institution known for its contributions to Hindu literature and scriptures. “Seva (selfless service) is a form of meditation, prayer, and devotion to God,” he said, emphasizing the deep cultural and spiritual significance of service.
As the Maha Kumbh Mela continues, the efforts of the Adani Group and its partnerships with organizations like ISKCON and Gita Press are adding a spiritual dimension to the massive event, benefitting millions of devotees who visit the sacred site each year.
