MULE’ Robotic Dog ‘Sanjay’, Star Of Republic Day Parade In Kolkata.
West Bengal Governor unfurls Tricolour at Republic Day function in Kolkata. The main attraction of the Republic Day parade was ‘MULE’ (Multi Utility Legged Equipment) is the robotic dog of Indian army.
Kolkata: on Sunday 26 january west Bengal Governor C V Ananda Bose unfurled the National flag at the Republic Day function held at Red Road. Cm mamata Banerjee participated in the event. Contingents from the Indian Army, Navy, Air Force, West Bengal Police, Kolkata Police, Rapid Action Force, and Disaster Management Group participated in this event.
Students from various schools also participated in the ceremony.
The Indian Army’s robotic dog ‘MULE’ (Multi Utility Legged Equipment) was the highlight of the show at the Republic Day parade in Kolkata on Sunday. Named ‘Sanjay’, ‘MULE’ is an all-weather ground robot dog that can climb stairs, steep hills and overcome obstacles. According to the Indian Army, it is designed for a number of operations, including mine security, asset protection and chemical-biological-nuclear warfare scenariosThe robotic dogs can carry a payload of 15 kgs and can be operated in extreme temperatures from -40 degrees to 55 degrees Celsius.
Several cultural programmers held in this event. Kukri’ dance by artists from Darjeeling performed. Baul artists from South 24 Parganas district were also held.
