As the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) takes the reins in Delhi, ending the Aam Aadmi Party’s (AAP) tenure, the spotlight now shifts to who will step into the role of the national capital’s next Chief Minister.

As speculation swirls over who will take the helm as Delhi’s next Chief Minister, five prominent names have surfaced as potential contenders. These include Parvesh Verma, son of the late former Delhi CM Sahib Singh Verma, defeating AAP’s national convenor Arvind Kejriwal in the New Delhi constituency. Another notable figure is Ramesh Bidhuri, who faced defeat against former Chief Minister Atishi in the Kalkaji seat.
Other names generating buzz include BJP MP Manoj Tiwari, Kapil Mishra, Ashish Sood, Rekha Gupta, and Vijender Gupta.
Delhi Chief Minister Atishi resigned from her post this morning, around 11:20 am, following her party’s loss in the assembly elections. Atishi, 43, was serving as the Chief Minister of Delhi since September last year. She became the third woman chief minister of Delhi after Sushma Swaraj and Sheila Dikshit.
Delhi Chief Minister:The BJP is set to form the government in Delhi after 27 years, with 48 seats, while AAP could secure only 22 seats, down from 62 in the 2020 Delhi Assembly Election. The Congress failed to open its account.
