Bengaluru South MP Tejasvi Surya got married to Carnatic singer Sivasri Skandaprasad on Thursday in an intimate ceremony. The wedding, held in the presence of close family members and a select group of political associates. Many political leaders shared pictures from the ceremony on social media and wished the newlyweds. This is a new chapter in the life of Tejaswi, a two-time MP. Many leaders shared glimpses of the wedding on social media and wished the new couple.
BJP leaders Annamalai, Pratap Simha and Amit Malviya were also present at the wedding. Karnataka BJP president BY Vijayendra and Union Minister V Somanna also graced the occasion.

Who is Sivasri Skandaprasad?
Ms. Skandaprasad, who is a Bharatanatyam dancer. She is an expert in Carnatic music, Bharatanatyam and painting. She beautifully blends traditional and modern art. Coming from a musically rich background, she trained in classical Carnatic music under the guidance of Guru A.S. Murali and has showcased her talent at esteemed platforms like Brahma Gana Sabha and Karthik Fine Arts.

Shivashree has also showcased her art outside India. She has been a part of international cultural exchange programs in Denmark and South Korea. Talking about education, she completed her bachelor’s degree in bioengineering from Sastra University but chose a career in the arts. She is said to have done her Bharatanatyam degree from the University of Madras. Additionally, she has studied Sanskrit and earned a diploma in Ayurvedic cosmetology, further enriching her diverse skill set.
