Ultraviolette has launched its first dual-purpose electric motorcycle in the Indian market called the Shockwave. The high-performance electric motorcycle manufacturer, Ultraviolette, hosted their Fast Forward India event in Bengaluru today.

The Tesseract is priced at Rs 1.20 lakh for the first 10,000 customers, after which prices will be increased to Rs 1.45 lakh (all prices (ex-showroom). After these units are sold, the price will increase to ₹1.75 lakh, Subramaniam said, adding that bookings for the two products will open on Wednesday and deliveries will start in the first quarter of 2026.

Ultraviolette Shockwave: Range

The Ultraviolette Tesseract is based on a next-generation platform and is powered by a Peak power is 20.1 bhp from its motor and 125 km/h top speed. It has a certified range of up to 261km on a single charge. Ultraviolette claims the scooter can do the 0-60kph sprint in 2.9 seconds. The scooter will get three battery capacities – 3.5kWh, 5kWh, and 6kWh, and the range will vary depending on the battery size.

Ultraviolette Shockwave: Design

Built for both on-road and off-road riding, the Shockwave features a lightweight frame, a high-beak front end, and vertically stacked dual-projector LED headlights.Additionally, the bike seems to have given the bike a handlebar for improved handling off-road. All of this is complemented by two paint scheme options: Electric Yellow with black and White with Red.

Ultraviolette Tesseract: Features

The brand has packed the electric two-wheeler with features. It comes with a 7-inch TFT touchscreen, onboard navigation, an under-seat storage of 34 litres and is claimed to fit a full-face helmet, ride analytics, towing alert, and 14-inch wheels. Safety-wise, the brand offers features like Front and rear RADAR tech, blind spot monitoring, collision avoidance, overtake alerts, lane change assist, rear collision alert, integrated Dashcam, haptic feedback on the handlebar, and more.

The scooter is available in three colours – Desert Sand, Sonic Pink, and Stealth Black.
